The concept was that new socks packaging should reconcile the splendid world of fashion with ecological aspects.

Furthermore, it should help promote sales and be convenient for the customer, as well. The solution is an environmentally friendly packaging and an eye catcher too: made of one single material, the cardboard is folded in a clever way and the pattern has been optimised saving material.

The cover shows an effective display and on the other hand the packing almost presents each detail of the socks. So consumers can test the socks without having to open the packaging. It is made from recycled cardboard, and a hanger is punched out as well, thus eliminating the need for an additional plastic hanger. The socks are not stitched through with the packaging, therefore they can be easily unpacked at home and will not be damaged.

Die glanzvolle Welt der Mode mit einer ökologischen Verpackung in Einklang zu bringen, ohne ihre verkaufsfördernde und kundenfreundliche Wirkung zu vernachlässigen—das ist die Herausforderung, die an die neue Sockenverpackung gestellt wurde.

Das Ergebnis ist eine umweltfreundliche Einstoffverpackung in einer raffinierten Falttechnik und mit minimalem Verschnitt. Das großflächige Cover erlaubt eine präsentationswirksame Bedruckung, und zugleich wird den Verbrauchern nahezu vollständig die Ware gezeigt. Diese können sich von der Qualität der Socken überzeugen, ohne die Verpackung öffnen zu müssen.

Die Hängevorrichtung ist mit ausgestanzt und erspart den sonst üblichen Plastikbügel. Der Verzicht auf das Durchnähen der Verpackung mit den Socken erleichtert das Auspacken zu Hause und die Ware bleibt unversehrt. Die Verpackung ist selbstverständlich vollständig recycelbar.
